Yoga with Rachel Little
I began my personal yoga practice 8 years ago at Braveheart Yoga, East Granby. After a few sessions, I began to notice a marked relief from the chronic back pain I had suffered through most of my life. Within a short time, I decided to become an instructor in order to share this transformative practice with others. I completed my intial training in the therapeutic applications of yoga, through Sacred Rivers Yoga for Everybody in Glastonbury, CT. Here I focused on Yoga Levels 1 & 2 and specialized in Prenatal Yoga and Yoga for the SeniorPractitioner. Currently, I am continuing my training with Sacred Rivers and Paula Scopino for my 500 hour certification. This will allow me to continue to bring the deep history of yoga into my practice, and that of my students, while exploring the philosophy and deeper applications yoga has to everyday life.
I teach a heart - centered flow style that links breath to movement with moments of quiet pause throughout the practice. My knowledge of anatomy and principles of postural alignment allow me to make this practice accessible to a wide range of individual abilities. With this knowledge, I am able to challenge those who are looking to sculpt the body and fine tune the mind while supporting those who are new to their practice or recovering from injury or experiencing pain.
